Hi, I'm Sidhi

A first-generation Aussie, deeply connected to my childhood memories of Indian craftsmanship. My journey in fashion began with my earliest inspiration: my mother, a passionate dressmaker. Growing up, I was surrounded by the hum of her sewing machine and the beauty of fabrics she transformed into timeless pieces.

As a became a fashion professional, the real sight of textile waste effected me.

One day, during my daily commute, I passed by a towering landfill. This landfill was only 20 years old, a staggering reminder of the environmental damage caused by polyester and fast fashion.

The sight haunted me. Soon, I reflected on my grandmother’s and mother’s wardrobes, filled with natural, handcrafted pieces that had endured decades yet still looked stunning.

That was my turning point. I realised true sustainability isn’t just about recycling—it starts with creating clothes from natural materials that return to the earth, leaving no trace.

Inspired by this epiphany, I created HiHandmade to redefine how we consume fashion.

HiHandmade blends my Indian heritage with the vibrant, free-spirited Australian lifestyle. My vision is to offer sustainable, versatile fashion that celebrates tradition while caring for our planet—because what we wear should reflect not only who we are but the future we want to create.

Upcycled

Breathing new life into textile scraps is one of our priorities, as we’re dedicated to ensuring nothing goes to waste. By transforming these materials into practical items like bags, journals, and hair ties, we uphold our commitment to quality, and environmental responsibility.
